Techno-know-how

Many library students don't have a great deal of computer experience. It's highly recommended that you know your way around a computer enough to use Microsoft Word and basic file management.

Computer Lab

The computer lab in the basement of the library should fulfill your computing needs. The computers are reasonably fast, and the ones in the cataloguing lab have CD burners and scanners. If you want to use a Macintosh, you can use the labs in the Education Building on upper campus.

Printing credits can be bought from Eric, just ask him for some when he's in his office.

Your Computer

It may be helpful (but is by no means necesary) to have your own computer. I'd recommend your computer is fast enough to run Microsoft Office, and access databases such as ProQuest and the like. If you have a laptop, the StudentLounge has wireless internet access.
